200 Hour Teacher Training

The Yoga Viva is teaming up with Urban Wilderness Yoga to create a yoga teacher training experience that is truly diverse. To be able to say that we are yogi’s and spiritual seekers, we cannot separate how we care for our body with our ethical practices. Thus, in the spirit of union, we offer our next Yoga Teacher Training with an emphasis on Yoga As Social Justice.

This yoga alliance certified accessible and in depth course in yoga is a premier and life changing experience in teaching and practicing yoga. Covering different healing modalities and yoga styles, students in The Yoga Viva Teacher Training will not only develop their tool belt of yoga practices that aid them in navigating the physical and spiritual journey, but will be able to confidently guide others in the process as well. If you have ever felt that there was some other way of seeing the world or wondered how you could possibly be of service, this training is for you. Gain the confidence, knowledge, and experience to share the vast and ancient practices of yoga with yourself and others.

Every weekend consists of an opening circle where we learn to hold space for ourselves and our classmates, followed by unique workshops on a variety of topics. Lunch and regular breaks are built into each session and the weekend will explore a different theme of self-care and personal practice. Together, we build depth of relationships with ourselves, our practice, and one another. Weekends will finish with an overview of homework assignments, what we learned, and a closing circle emphasizing community building.
