In this 3 hour class, students will deepen their relationship to the human body, to the breath, and to their partner through the exchange of Thai Yoga Massage techniques.
Thai Yoga Massage is a beautiful practice that has been handed down for centuries and is traditionally given to family members in their homes after long days of work. Above all, it is an experience in the art of compassionate and loving giving and receiving.
We will explore an effortless, relaxing, and nurturing massage sequence to target the parts of the body that most often carry stress: the neck & shoulders, the hips, and the feet. We will discuss the quality of touch and care, the joy of giving, and using massage for our friends and family as a way to cultivate deeper and more intimate connections.
Things to know:
—no massage or yoga experience is required
—wear comfortable, breathable clothing
Participants will walk away from this workshop having received and given an accessible and simple, yet effective, massage sequence that can be practiced anywhere. Come with a friend, a family member, or a partner and develop trust, intimacy, and nourishment in this 3 hour workshop. We will offer a handout so you can take these techniques & tools home with you and herbal delights made by Kristen.
Note: Everyone is welcome to this workshop regardless of sexual orientation or relationship status. Whatever the nature of your relationship, parent/child, friends, married, its-complicated, everyone is welcome.
